In everything we do we believe in equality, no matter who we are & where we live. We exist to empower small manufacturers of wooden products in Indonesia to run successful businesses. We do this by making the connections between artisans & Australian brands simple & transparent.
Specialising in wooden goods, we take your ideas/designs into live. We use our network of skilled artisans to provide you with bespoke service.
By working with us, you are working with a nimble manufacturing partner that cares about the planet, skillful village artisans and the handcrafted products that we produce.
Our mission is to employ 1000 artisans from villages across Indonesia. To achieve this, we need to create around 1,000,000 wooden products each year.
CASE STUDY
Beechworth Honey are proud contributors to the 1% for the Planet program For over 140 years Beechworth produced pure and natural Australian honey. Traditions, techniques and tales are now being passed from the 4th to the 5th generation. Beechworth values sustainable and ethical, now their supply chain is too as they chose use to create their Wooden Honey Drizzle
Need For Ethical Beechworth and Kayu&Co shared similar values of ethical and sustainable practices, which is why the CEO herself Jodie Goldsworthy took a big leap in exploring the opportunity to work with us. After reviewing the samples, quotations and the artisans who made the products, Jodie made the decision to move away from her existing supplier and move forward with Kayu&Co. where she knew her Wooden Honey Drizzle would be made ethically and have complete confidence that her product would be food safe.
How We Help Beechworth to reduce its carbon emission.
Our artisans network use minimal machines in crafting the product. To make the honey drizzle, the only machine aid we used was a CNC laser cut to make a honeycomb pattern. The rest of the process was handmade and dried naturally under the sun.
